Recently I post about setup WordPress on your hosting account. Today I going to share how to delete a wordpress installation from your host account.
Sometimes you can’t setup wordpress properly. Or think, you have a live site, and a bad person hijack your site. In this case a expert need to handle to sort out your problem. As a beginner you can’t handle the problem. In such case you need to delete wordpress installation and reinstall it (backup copy for live site). So, I create this post to help beginners.
Attention:- Deleting anything on your live site without having backup can very bad effect on your site. So I never recommend you to do it without backup. Only follow those step when you know what you are doing.
Backup Your Site
If you have a live site with visitors do a full backup. Even if you just install wp I recommend you to backup everything. Because once you delete anything nobody can recover it.
Delete WordPress Installation
To delete a wordpress installation first to how to you install it. Via Softaculaus or FTP. Deleting wp with Softaculaus is very easy.
Delete WP via Softaculaus
Go to Softaculaus app installer. Then go to all installation. Then select your CMS and remove. That’s all.
Delete WP via FTP
Delete WordPress via FTP is also so easy. Login your host and go to mySQL databases. Delete related database with wp. And if host allowed delete database user too.
Login to filezila or your FTP client. Delete everything on public html folder, or every file and folder you uploaded to install wp.
WordPress deletion complete. Now you can absolutely fresh install and able to do what you want.
